Genius is the ability to receive from the Universe ~ I Ching
I have been wanting to get myself a dog that I can call mine for some time now. My wife and I have a little fluffy shitzu cross, but she is definitely the wifes dog. I just get the pleasure of her company now and again
This past weekend I went to Nowa Nowa in country Victoria to spend some quality time with friends. I took along my brand new second hand kayak and went for a paddle on Lake Tyers and had a ball.
During the course of our visit, my wife met a woman that was in possession of a 7 week old(at the most…) pup. It turned out that the woman was minding the puppy for a friend. The friend had been ordered by her land lord to get rid of the dog, and she was holding out for as long as she could before taking it to a dogs home or pound.
Now as I said at the start of this post, I have been wanting a dog to call my own. I have a friend that does work for Stafford Rescue Victoria and he loves his Staffy Bull Terriers. I have been looking at their site for a rescue dog to own and have seen a few that I liked, but at the time didn’t have the funds required to call one mine.
So, here’s the reason for the title of this post. I have wanted a Staffy for my own. I have spent a lot of time talking to my friend about staffies and the people we stayed with also have a staffy. So my dog focus has been very much on staffies, and in particular, ones that need rescuing.
The lady my wife met, passed our details on to her friend. Her friend contacted us and on the Monday Night, turned up where we were staying, and gave me her little Staffy pup, along with some bedding and some little doggie jackets.
The Law Of Attraction At Work, I knew what I wanted. I focussed on what I wanted, and I let it go. I didn’t worry about the how, I just figured when the time was right…
I got the dog I wanted, right down to the fact that she was about to be dumped at a pound or shelter. Basically she needed rescuing .
I always find it amazing when people put this sort of thing down to coincidence or fate. I have seen it too many times to believe it is anything but the Law Of Attraction At Work.
But, hey, that’s just my opinion and you can believe what you want. For me, for now…
